Godzilla vs Kong Sequel: Son of Kong

The much anticipated Godzilla vs Kong sequel will start shooting in Australia later this year! This is great news for King Kong fans everywhere who have been eagerly waiting to see these two titans clash on the big screen again. Locations across the Gold Coast and southeast Queensland will be used to film the movie, which is sure to be a massive blockbuster.

The movie is set to be directed by Adam Wingard, and details about the plot have been kept under wraps. However, Wingard has hinted that the movie will take a new direction, with Son of Kong providing an economic boost of A$79.2M ($58.6M) to the region and creating 505 jobs for local cast and crew, plus opportunities for 750 extras.

Since the release of Godzilla and Kong: Skull Island, it was announced that a sequel to Godzilla vs Kong is in the works. Titled Son of Kong, little is known about the plot of the film, but it is speculated that it may follow Kong's son protecting a group of people from dinosaurs on Skull Island, as in the 1933 film of the same name.

While the film may borrow some elements from the original Son of Kong, it is unlikely to follow the same plot, as this would be similar to the events of Skull Island. Additionally, it is unclear whether or not Godzilla and Kong will once again battle in this film, or if it will focus exclusively on Kong and his son.

At this time, it is also unclear whether or not the producers will take any creative liberties with the character of Kong's son in order to keep him distinct from his larger and more famous predecessor.

The upcoming Son of Kong is set to take place on Skull Island, which may indicate that it will feature some of the thrilling dinosaur action seen in Kong: Skull Island. However, it's unclear exactly how this new film will connect to the rest of the MonsterVerse or wider world.

The fact that Son of Kong will likely take place in the subterranean Hollow Earth has led to much speculation about what other Titans may be encountered there. Some believe that Kong will team up with his son to fight a new and powerful Titan who lurks within the Hollow Earth, making for an epic Godzilla vs Kong sequel.

While nothing about this upcoming film is confirmed at this point, it is clear that we can expect to see the MonsterVerse return in the near future, and that it will likely be bigger and better than ever.

Stay tuned for further updates about the Godzilla vs Kong sequel, as production begins later this year!
